Todays writing prompt is designed to make you think about whether or not you're using the five senses in your writing. Sometimes writers (especially inexperienced writers such as myself) tend to leave out important sensory details in their writing. Using the five senses in your writing can make a scene come alive when they're used correctly. If you want the reader to truly feel like  he or she is there, then you need to give him or her the necessary details to make that possible. Well, guys, the last prompt received TWO responses! We're getting there slowly but surely! ;) If you've completed the prompt before, you know the drill. Sorry! *** Write about the moment "it all made sense."  ***  My response: As my gaze drifted from Carmen to Pierre to the inspector, it all made sense. We had been played. Every single one of us. Well played, but played nonetheless. I cast a glance at Addie. Hurt was written all over her heart-shaped face. I could understand why such a trick might be played on the rest of us, but why Addie?  Happy Hump Day, y'all! Yep... Typing that was just as awkward as reading it. 

Alright... I only got one response from my last prompt, but it was a good response, so I'm going to post another one. As I write this, I will simply dream of the day when I am a published author and people are jumping to respond to my posts. ;) The guidelines are the same as last time: Your response can be however long or short you like. As promised on Monday, I am proposing a writing challenge for the creative people out there who might be reading my blog. Of course, if there are no creative people reading my blog, this won't be much fun. Nevertheless, I'm going to take the chance and post a unique writing prompt from one of my FAVORITE writing resources, The Pocket Muse. I don't know how Monica Wood comes up with her writing ideas, but I love them because they're so thought-provoking and they really get the creative juices flowing. The other day, I was looking for a writing prompt and stumbled upon one I found to be pretty interesting -just because I'd never thought about anything like it before. So, I'm going to throw it out there and see what y'all come up with. It can be one paragraph or two... even three. Just don't write me a book.
